The first time I got to experience Matt Welch’s photography was when he took pictures at my son’s preschool. I was so pleased at the way he was able to capture my 4 yr old in a photo, I was immediately certain that I wanted Matt to take our family pictures.
My two sons and I met Matt down at the beach, as this is one of our favorite places. Matt was very professional, and fun. He took some posed pictures as well as candid shots. He spent time getting to know who we were and how we interacted with each other. We were all so comfortable in his presence. Not to mention we really had a good time! Matt Welch at Munkee’s Eye Photography was a huge Rock star on our wedding day! He went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did he come and visit the venue with me weeks before the wedding to get amazing ideas, but he actually listened to what I said.

My husband and I hired Matt to photograph our daughter’s 3rd birthday party, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! What might seem like the impossible photo shoot (kids running around acting crazy, bubbles flying everywhere) was NO PROBLEM for Matt. In fact, he seemed to actually enjoy the challenge of getting “that perfect shot” !

After getting my new vintage motorcycle and returning home from the Sturgis Rally, I contacted Matt Welch about doing some shots with me on my bike. I have a great ‘decompression’ ride I like to do after I get home from work and it offered some scenic backdrops as well as light traffic for doing some shooting.
Matt said that he wanted to try out some ideas using a boom-mounted camera and some remote flashes; I didn’t know what he was talking about, but we took the doors off of my Jeep and talked my wife into driving him around while he photographed me from the passenger seat.
The pictures are amazing and I continue to get compliments on them. Many friends ask how they were done and how they can get some done too. I just refer them to munkeeseye.com !

Matt recently took the photos for my daughter’s Senior High School pictures. It was a great experience all the way around! He got right back to me when I contacted him about scheduling and was very open to our time frame and the venue we were interested in.
Matt made it fun for all of us and took extra time with us during the shoot so that we had plenty of photos from plenty of backdrops. The only problem was that there were so many great pictures that we had a hard time choosing the ones we wanted! He was also great about the turn around time for getting the pictures to us.
